2024年、大阪芸術大学卒。ギャラリー住吉橋 (大阪)にて個展。THE blank GALLERY (東京)、cafeBar O'hara (大阪)にてグループ展。SMBC信託銀行「Art Branch NEXT 2023」に選出され、池袋支店にて展示。
Graduated from Osaka University of Arts in 2024. Solo exhibition at Gallery Sumiyoshibashi (Osaka). Group exhibition at THE blank GALLERY (Tokyo) and cafeBar O'hara (Osaka). Selected for SMBC Trust Bank's "Art Branch NEXT 2023" and exhibited at the Ikebukuro branch.

  • 主催者ごあいさつ｜From gallery

    YUKI NISHIJIMAは不思議な画家で、いくつかの画風の作品を同時に展開するという、いっぷう変わった作家活動を行っているのですが、今回の展示ではその中でも、古典絵画に想を得たシリーズにフォーカスします。見事なテクニックで描かれながらも、現代的な感覚で脱構築される名画のイメージがそこにはあります。SMBC信託銀行のアートプログラムにも選出されるなど、注目の集まる俊英のミニ展示、どうぞご期待ください。
    YUKI NISHIJIMA is a mysterious painter who is engaged in a somewhat unusual artistic activity of simultaneously developing works in several different styles, but this exhibition will focus on his series inspired by classical paintings. While painted with superb technique, the images of famous paintings are deconstructed with a modern sensibility. Please look forward to this mini exhibition by this talented artist who has attracted attention, including being selected for the SMBC Trust Bank art program.

    作家ステートメント｜Statment

    私は物心ついた時から絵を描く事が好きで、それは今も変わっていません。人物や風景等、取り留めのない私の絵は色や筆致、グラデーションに一定の癖があります。それは写真のノイズの様にその時々の感情や状況が自然と反映されます。それらを言葉よりも上手く伝えることが描くうえでの目標です。そしてできた絵は自画像を見ている様です。上手く表現できたと感じたり、まだまだ駄目だと感じたり、そのやりとりが成長の糧となっています。絵に誠実でいる事を目標にこれから何十年と向き合っていきたいと思います。

    I have loved drawing ever since I was old enough to understand, and that hasn't changed to this day. My random drawings of people, landscapes, etc. have certain quirks in the colors, brushstrokes, and gradations. Like the noise in a photograph, they naturally reflect the emotions and circumstances of the moment. My goal in drawing is to convey these things better than words can. When I create a painting I feel like looking at a self-portrait. I sometimes feel like I've been able to express myself well, and other times I feel like I still have a long way to go. These exchanges are what help me grow. I want to continue to face my work for decades to come with the goal of remaining true to my art.
