作家プロフィール｜Profile
木炭と鉛筆を主に扱う。2020年、2021年、当店にて個展。2018年よりk.かおりとの2人展「願いを叶えた星の雨」を毎年開催。当店のほか、ぎゃらりぃあと(大阪)、アトリエ「空白」(大阪)、イロリムラ(大阪)、芝田町画廊(大阪)、Gallery CORSO(東京)、gallery hydrangea(東京)、銀座ミレージャギャラリー(東京)などでグループ展。2017年〜2021年、奈良県大芸術祭にてグループ展。2019年、2020年、創作漫画同人誌展示即売会「関西コミティア」(大阪)。2024年、アートイベント「artDive」(京都)。2019年、月刊『MOE』掲載。
Works primarily in charcoal and pencil. Held solo exhibitions at this gallery in 2020 and 2021. Since 2018, has held an annual two-person exhibition titled "Star Rain That Grants Wishes" with k. Kaori. Has participated in group exhibitions at venues including Gallery Ato (Osaka), Atelier "Kuuhaku" (Osaka), Irorimura (Osaka), Shibatacho Gallery (Osaka), Gallery CORSO (Tokyo), gallery hydrangea (Tokyo), and Ginza Mireya Gallery (Tokyo), in addition to this gallery. Participated in group exhibitions at the Nara Prefecture Grand Art Festival from 2017 to 2021. Exhibited at "Kansai Comitia" (Osaka), an event for original manga doujinshi, in 2019 and 2020. Participated in the art event "artDive" (Kyoto) in 2024. Featured in the monthly magazine *MOE* in 2019.

主催者ごあいさつ｜From gallery
- ryokuは当店で２度、個展を開催していますが、ある時期から大きくタッチを変え、木炭を使ったラフで力強い作品を制作するようになりました。それまでの繊細な作品も魅力的でしたが、大きく方向性を変えた近作に魅力を感じて個展をお願いすることにしました。当店では５年ぶりとなる個展、どなた様もこの機会にお見逃しなく。
ryoku has held two solo exhibitions at our gallery, but at a certain point, the artist significantly shifted his style to create rough, powerful works using charcoal. While his earlier, delicate pieces were certainly captivating, I was drawn to the appeal of these recent works—which represent a major change in direction—and decided to invite him back for another exhibition. This marks his first solo show here in five years; we hope you won't miss this opportunity.
作家ステートメント｜Statment- 2016年より作家活動を始めました。近年は主に木炭を用いて、画材の質感を活かしたモノクロでしか描けない彩りと心情を描いています。
自分の努力や想いだけではどうにもならなかった「あの日」を何度も積み重ねて、それでも今日まで描き続けて、そして今回、個展を開催する機会をいただきました。作品を通じて、見てくださった方の心に何かが残り、何かを感じていただけたなら幸いです。
どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
I began my career as an artist in 2016. In recent years, I have worked primarily with charcoal, using the medium's unique texture to capture—in monochrome—nuances of color and emotion that can only be expressed in black and white.
I have lived through many days where my own efforts and heartfelt wishes were simply not enough, yet I kept creating—and now, I have been given the opportunity to hold this solo exhibition. I would be truly happy if, through my work, something remains in your heart or stirs a feeling within you.
