作家プロフィール｜Profile
1999年、東京都生まれ。武蔵野美術大学卒。主に木製パネルに日本画で作品を制作。2022年より展示活動開始。松坂屋上野店(東京)にて個展。当店のほか、阪神梅田本店(大阪)、東武百貨店アートギャラリー（東京)、画廊一兎庵(東京)、みうらじろうギャラリー(東京)などにてグループ展。雑誌『月刊美術』、『美術の窓』、『月刊アートコレクターズ』に作品掲載。
Born in Tokyo in 1999. Graduated from Musashino Art University. Primarily creates Japanese-style paintings on wooden panels. Began exhibiting in 2022. Held a solo exhibition at Matsuzakaya Ueno Store (Tokyo). In addition to our gallery, has participated in group exhibitions at Hanshin Umeda Main Store (Osaka), Tobu Department Store Art Gallery (Tokyo), Gallery Ittoan (Tokyo), Miura Jiro Gallery (Tokyo), and others. Has had her works featured in the magazines "Monthly Art," "Art Window," and "Monthly Art Collectors."

いわゆる「美人画」と呼ばれるジャンルの絵画には、不思議と日本趣味の作家が多いのですが、森川琴美の作品にはそれがあまり見られず、その替わりにエスニックでエキゾティックな彩りが見られます。そうした日本的な枠組みに囚われない、無国籍的な風通しの良さが森川作品の魅力。どなた様もこの機会に是非、その魅力に触れていただければと思います。
While many artists in the genre known as "bijinga" (paintings of beautiful women) tend to have a strong Japanese aesthetic, this is not so evident in Kotomi Morikawa's work. Instead, it features ethnic and exotic colors. This unbounded, stateless, and refreshing quality is what makes Morikawa's work so appealing. We hope that everyone will take this opportunity to experience its charm.

装飾的な異世界の中に生きる、無国籍の人物を描いています。
今回の展示では、人と動物のあいだにある、境界の曖昧な存在を表現しました。
それぞれの個性や彩りを楽しんでいただけたら嬉しいです。
I depict stateless figures living in a decorative, otherworldly realm. In this exhibition, I express the ambiguous existence between humans and animals. I hope you enjoy the individuality and vibrant colors of each character.
