2001年生まれ、茨城県出身。武蔵野美術大学大学院修了。MEDEL GALLERY SHU(東京)、Hidari Zingaro(東京)にて個展。当店のほか、gallery TOWED (東京)、シロタ画廊(東京)、木之庄企画(東京)、大丸東京店（東京）、GALERIE ZBERRO(パリ)、aL Base(東京)などでグループ展。「Kiaf SEOUL」(韓国)、「神戸アートマルシェ2024」などアートフェア多数。「GEISAI#22 ob賞」、やまなしメディア芸術アワード2025-26入賞。
Born in 2001 in Ibaraki Prefecture. Graduated from Musashino Art University Graduate School. Held solo exhibitions at MEDEL GALLERY SHU (Tokyo) and Hidari Zingaro (Tokyo). In addition to our gallery, participated in group exhibitions at gallery TOWED (Tokyo), Shirota Gallery (Tokyo), Kinosho Kikaku (Tokyo), Daimaru Tokyo (Tokyo), GALERIE ZBERRO (Paris), aL Base (Tokyo), etc. Participated in numerous art fairs such as "Kiaf SEOUL" (South Korea) and "Kobe Art Marche 2024". Received the "GEISAI#22 ob Award". Winner of the Yamanashi Media Arts Award 2025-26.

主催者ごあいさつ｜From gallery

山田太郎の作品から感じられるのは、壊れやすい陶器のような繊細さです。乱暴に扱えば簡単に壊れてしまいそうな不安定さを感じさせる一方で、大切に育めばあたたかい肌触りをいつまでも約束してくれる。そんな印象をその作品からは受けます。今回の個展では、大学院の卒展での出品作を再構成した展示を展開する予定。どうぞこの機会にお見逃しなく。
Yamada Taro's works have the same delicate quality as fragile ceramics. They give off a sense of instability, as if they could easily break if handled roughly, but at the same time, if nurtured with care, they promise to maintain a warm feel forever. That is the impression one gets from his works. This solo exhibition will feature a re-arrangement of works that were exhibited at his graduate school graduation exhibition. 作家ステートメント｜Statment

冷めたコーヒーを前にしている。
それはもう、飲み物ではなく、
時間の残骸みたいだ。
僕らはそれを温め直すこともできる。
しかし、同一の状態には戻らない。
温度は再現できても、経過した時間は回収できない。
コーヒーウォーマーの上で、
ぬるく保温されつづける液体のように、
僕らの生活は利便性のなかで、
何度も本質を薄めていく。
だから絵を描く。
失われていく瞬間を、
戻らない温度のまま、
平面に留めるために。
人間と動物の違いを考える。
動物は現在を生きる。
冷める前も、冷めたあとも、保持しない。
人間だけが、
失われていくものを想像する。
この想像は、単なる逃避ではない。
現実を別のかたちで保持しようとする働きであり、
すでに一種の再解釈である。
僕らは、
現実と妄想のあいだを行き来している。
私にとって絵を描くということは、
失われていくものに対して、
現在から遠ざかっていくその瞬間を、
再解釈するという人間の本質に近しい行為
そのものである。
I'm sitting in front of a cold cup of coffee. It's no longer a drink, it's like the remnants of time.
We can reheat it. However, it won't return to the exact same state. While we can reproduce the temperature, we cannot recover the time that has passed.
Like a liquid kept lukewarm on a coffee warmer, our lives, in the midst of convenience, repeatedly dilute their essence.
That's why I paint. To capture fleeting moments, their irretrievable warmth, and preserve them on a flat surface.
Consider the differences between humans and animals. Animals live in the present. They do not retain anything, neither before nor after it cools down.
Only humans can imagine what is being lost.
This imagination is not mere escapism. It is an attempt to preserve reality in a different form, and can already be considered a kind of reinterpretation.
We are constantly moving between reality and delusion.
For me, painting is an act close to the very essence of humanity: reinterpreting what is being lost, the moment that is moving away from the present.
