作家プロフィール｜Profile
1996年生まれ。京都府在住。嵯峨美術大学短期大学部卒。物事の中で対極する２つの要素が混在する街を舞台に、生活空間や人間性を、主にマゼンタの色調で描く。当店での個展(2021)のほか、靜月 Moon of Silence(香港)、The Art complex Center of Tokyo(東京)、みうらじろうギャラリーbis(東京)で個展。グループ展にondo_tosabori(大阪)、創治朗(兵庫)、DESIGN FESTA GALLERY WEST(東京)など。
Born in 1996. Lives in Kyoto prefecture. She graduated from Saga University of Arts Junior College. Set in a city where two opposite elements of things coexist, she depicts the living space and humanity mainly in magenta tones. In addition to her solo exhibition at our gallery (2021), she has also exhibited at the Moon of Silence (Hong Kong), The Art complex Center of Tokyo (Tokyo) and Jiro Miura Gallery bis (Tokyo). Group exhibitions include ondo_tosabori (Osaka), Sojiro (Hyogo), and DESIGN FESTA GALLERY WEST (Tokyo).

おなじみ、マゼンタ色のレトロな世界を描く吉田有花、２年ぶり３回目の個展です。前回の個展から登場するようになったカンバスにアクリルの技法も定着させた吉田は、国内外でバランス良い人気を獲得してきました。レトロな風景と現代性の同居する奇妙な世界、どうぞこの機会にごゆっくりお楽しみいただけましたら幸いです。
This is Yuka Yoshida's third solo exhibition in two years, who is known for painting a retro world in magenta. Since her last solo exhibition, Yoshida has also established herself using acrylic techniques on canvas, and has gained a well-balanced popularity both in Japan and overseas. We hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy this strange world where retro scenery and modernity coexist.

作家ステートメント｜Statment

誰かの部屋にふいに紛れ込んでしまったような、あるいは、夢の中で見知らぬ街を歩いているような。
これまで描き続けてきた作品たちは、そんな「暮らしの途中」を切り取った断片でもあります。
そこには、まだ語られていないお話や、つぶやかれなかった気持ちが、そっと息を潜めています。
ときにはデジタルのざらついた気配が色に宿り、ときには誰かのプロフィールのような輪郭が浮かびあがることもあるでしょう。
それもまた、現代に生きる私たちの生活のかたちのひとつだと感じています。
そうした風景を通じて、見る方それぞれの暮らしや記憶がふと立ち上がるような、そんな展示になれば嬉しく思います。
It's as if I've suddenly wandered into someone's room, or as if I'm walking through an unfamiliar city in a dream. The works I have been creating so far are fragments captured "in the middle of life." There, untold stories and unexpressed feelings lie quietly lurking. Sometimes the colors have a rough feel of the digital world, and sometimes the outlines of someone's profile emerge. I feel that this, too, is one aspect of the lives we live in today. I would be delighted if this exhibition could suddenly bring to mind the lives and memories of each viewer through these scenes.
