京都造形芸術大学中退。当初「ま〇〇」名義で活動、のち改名。2017年、2019年、2021年に当店にて個展。カフェ百日紅（東京）、gallery hydrangea（東京）、カフェギャラリー幻（東京）、cafe Anamune（大阪）などでグループ展。2017年『ExtrART file.14』、2021年『ExtrART file.30』 （アトリエサード）掲載。
Dropped out of Kyoto University of Art and Design. Initially worked under the name "Ma〇〇", later changed her name. Solo exhibitions at our gallery in 2017, 2019, and 2021. Group exhibitions at Cafe Hyakujitsukou (Tokyo), gallery hydrangea (Tokyo), Cafe Gallery Maboroshi (Tokyo), cafe Anamune (Osaka), etc. Featured in "ExtrART file.14" in 2017 and "ExtrART file.30" (Atelier Third) in 2021.

主催者ごあいさつ｜From gallery
- Ma marumaruは当店の開店以来、ずっと出品してくれている作家です。一貫してその制作のテーマとなってきたのはエロティズム、今回もそこは揺るがないようです。当店では３年ぶり、今回で４回目となる今回の個展で、彼女がどんなエロティシズムを見せてくれるのか、楽しみにしたいと思っています。
Ma Marumaru is an artist who has been exhibiting at our gallery since it opened. Eroticism has always been the theme of her work, and this theme seems to remain unchanged this time as well. This will be her fourth solo exhibition at our gallery, and her first in three years, so we are looking forward to seeing what kind of eroticism she will show us.
作家ステートメント｜Statment- 絵を発表し始めた当初は、実のところはっきりとしたコンセプトは殆どありませんでした。 ただ、今思い返せば、女性として生きてきて感じた息苦しさ、世間から押し付けられる女性としての常識に逆らいたい気持ちや、自己嫌悪感、やり場の無い怒り等をどこかで消化したくて、絵で表現していたように感じます。 いい意味でも悪い意味でも、周りを顧みずがむしゃらに描いていました。
歳を重ねていくうちに、自身の根本の部分・トラウマの存在に気がつきはじめ(2017年個展『愛と恕し』以降)、 それから徐々にトラウマと向き合えるようになり、それに伴って少しずつ描く内容にも変化が出てきています。 この辺りから現在まで一貫して変わらないテーマは『愛』です。 絵のなかの人物たちは、自信に満ちた表情で堂々と振舞い、罪を恕し、怒り、涙を流し、柵(しがらみ)を断ち切り、抱擁で癒し/癒され、無償の愛を与え、、、 私にとっての神のような存在として描いています。.
また、過去も現在もヌードを描いてますが、現在はエロチシズムとしての表現のほかに、 普段取り繕っているものを脱ぎ払い心のうちを曝け出したい気持ちや、心と心、肌と肌が直に触れ合う温かみ等を表現しています。 今回はまなざしにスポットを当て、従来のアクリル画ではなく鉛筆画で、存在の儚さを表現する事にいたしました。 新たな試みではありますが、楽しんでいただけると幸いです。
When I first started exhibiting my paintings, I actually had almost no clear concept. However, looking back now, I feel like I was trying to express through my paintings the suffocating feeling I had felt living as a woman, the desire to rebel against the conventional wisdom imposed on women by society, self-loathing, and anger that had no outlet, all of which I wanted to digest somewhere. In both a good and bad sense, I painted frantically without considering what was going on around me.
As I grew older, I began to become aware of the existence of a fundamental part of myself, the trauma (after my solo exhibition "Love and Forgiveness'' in 2017). And since then I have gradually been able to face my trauma, and as a result, the content of my paintings has changed little by little. The theme that has remained consistent from around this time to the present is "love.'' The people in my paintings behave with confidence and dignity, forgive their sins, get angry, shed tears, cut off barriers, and heal with embraces..she heals, gives unconditional love... I portray them as a god-like being to me.
I have also painted nudes in the past and present, but currently, in addition to expressing eroticism, I also express the desire to strip away what is usually hidden and expose what is in one's heart, and the warmth of direct contact between heart and heart, and skin and skin. This time, I focused on the gaze, and decided to express the transience of existence using pencil drawings rather than the traditional acrylic paintings.This is a new attempt for me, and I hope you will enjoy it.
