数年前の学内展で作品を見かけ、繊細で抒情的、内面的な表現に惹かれ、声をかけました。それから数年が経ち、当初めだっていたマンガ的な人物表現はやや後退し、かわって南国的な明るい色彩が前面に出るようになりました。その表現は今なお変貌を続けており、この展示までにどう変わるかわかりませんが、その変化を楽しみにしたいと思っています。
I saw his works at an on-campus exhibition a few years ago and was drawn to its delicate, lyrical, and introspective expression, so I approached him. Several years have passed since then, and the cartoonish character portrayals that were prominent at the beginning have somewhat receded, replaced by bright, tropical colors. His style continues to evolve, and I don't know how it will change by the time of this exhibition, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it changes.
