クワバラは土偶のようにも見える不思議な人物像を描き続けて来た作家です。それは時に半透明であったりハレーションを起こしていたりしますが、いずれも巧みなグラデーションによって描かれています。ほとんど抽象画のようにも見えるそのフォルムと色は、私たちの感情や心の動きと、緩やかに共鳴するかのようです。当店では初めてとなる個展、どうぞ心ゆくまでお楽しみください。
Kuwabara is an artist who has continued to paint mysterious figures that resemble clay figurines in jomon period. At times, her works are translucent or halating, but all are painted with skillful gradations. The forms and colors of her works appear almost abstract, seem to gently resonate with our emotions and the movements of our hearts. This will be her first solo exhibition at our gallery, so please enjoy it to your heart's content.
