2018年の初登場以来、一貫してヤンキーを描き続けてきた作家、狭刈十。その作品はコミックタッチで描かれてはいますが、いわゆるオタク的な美意識が目を背け続けてきた、日本の「視覚的無意識」(クラウス)を見つめているかのようにも思えます。当店では四年ぶりとなるひさびさの個展、どうぞお楽しみに。
The artist SAGARI Ju, who has appeared in 2018, has consistently depicted Japnese hoodlum characters. Her works are drawn in a comic style, but they also seem to stare at Japan's "visual unconscious" (Klaus), which the so-called otaku aesthetic has continued to turn a blind eye to. Please look forward to her first solo exhibition in four years at our gallery.
