朱華は作家としての名前は「しゅか」と読みますが、古来から我が国では「朱華」と書いて「はねず」と読み、紅花クチナシで染められた淡いピンク色を指す、色の呼び名として使われてきました。もちろん朱華が描画に用いる色はこの色に限らないのですが、どこか古代的な華やかさを持つ色を好んで用いるところがあるように思います。当店では三年ぶり、三回目となる朱華の個展、無国籍で華やかな玄妙さをどうぞお楽しみください。
朱華 Shuka's artist name is pronounced "Shuka," but in Japan, "朱華" has been pronounced as "Hanezu" since ancient times, and has been used as a name for the pale pink color dyed with the safflower and gardenia. Of course, the colors Shuka uses in her paintings are not limited to these colors, but she seems to have a penchant for colors that have a certain ancient glamor. This is Shuka's third solo exhibition at our gallery, and the first in three years, so please enjoy the international, gorgeous, mysterious beauty.
