「かたち」とか「形式」と聞くと私たちは、外形だけの、つまり中身は空っぽな状態をつい思い浮かべますが、美術の世界ではモチーフの形そのものや、あるいは描き方のスタイルそのものが意味を持ってしまう、そうした表現がしばしば現れます。この展示ではそうした「かたち」そのものに意味を持たせてしまった作家たちをご紹介したいと思います。三名ともユニークな形の向こうに、濃密な意味を感じさせる作家を選びました。どうぞじっくりその意味を感じとっていただければと思います。
When we hear the words "shape'' or "form,'' we tend to think of only the external form, that is, the content is empty. But in the world of art, sometimes the shape of the motif itself or the style of drawing itself has their internal meaning or content. In this exhibition, we would like to introduce artists who have given meaning to the shapes themselves. All three artists were selected for their unique shapes that convey deep meaning. I hope you will enjoy the time to taste their deep meaning.
