2021年以来３年ぶり、当店では４回めとなる椎木かなえの個展ですが、今回のDMを飾る作品のタイトルは《母性》。仔犬に乳を与えるかのような、不思議な怪物が描かれています。コロナ禍を抜けた2022年あたりから、椎木の作品には聖母のようなモチーフやポップな色彩が現れるようになっており、作風の微妙な変化が伺えます。が、しかし、無意識からモチーフを汲み出す椎木のこと、どんな作品が出てくるかは当日までのお楽しみ。どうぞお楽しみに！
This is Kanae Shiiki's fourth solo exhibition at our gallery, the first in three years since 2021, and the title of the work decorating the DM this time is "Motherhood". It depicts a mysterious monster that seems to breastfeeding a puppy. Since around 2022, after the coronavirus pandemic has passed, Shiiki's works have begun to feature motifs like the Virgin Mary and pop colors, showing a subtle change in her style. However, it remains to be seen until the day of the event to see what kind of work Shiiki will come up with. Because she draws out motifs from her subconscious. Please look forward to it!
